7 Things To Do After Affiliate Summit !
The Affiliate Summit was great! I met so many great people, such as Ian Fernando, who was one of the “Super Mentors” who actually took on 3 people to mentor. Ian was also on a panel at the Summit, and he hosted a dinner for Affiliate Marketers. Such a busy person, yet he was so willing to help new attendees have a good experience. Thank you Ian.
Now that I have returned I have made a list of things I need to do:
1. Take care of family and personal business, get my daughter ready for college, pay bills. I am also brainstorming as I do this, jotting down new ideas and connecting in my mind all the information I obtained at the Affiliate Summit.
2. Thank all of the wonderful people from the Affiliate Summit with a special “Thank You” they won’t forget. I have something really cool in mind.
3. Blog about the whole “Affiliate Summit Mentor Program”, how much of a success it was and how I feel I could improve different aspects of how I did it.
4. Spread the word about Affiliate Summit. Post Blogs, make videos, and get on the social media sites like twitter, facebook, etc. and sing the praises of Affiliate Summit. A good experience is the best testimonial.
5. Ask for feedback from all participants in the “Affiliate Summit Mentor Program”.
6. Make contact with all new attendees, that were in the mentor program. I didn’t get to actually meet everybody like I intended to.
7. Encourage people as I was encouraged. I take a look back at where I was last year at this time. I felt at times like I was standing still and not moving forward in my efforts. It would have been easy to give up, but when I thought about it I was given opportunities to stay involved. After the Affiliate Summit I realize how far I have come and how important it is to make contacts.
Wow, It’s A Small World! Story #1
I cannot tell you how many times I have said this in the past couple of years, especially since my kids have ventured out into the world and called home with stories of how small this world really is.
I am going to share with you a few stories of “Wow, It’s a Small World”
Story #1
My Husband has always kept in touch with his 1st cousins, and their families. On my Husband’s, Mother’s side of the family, he had 2 uncles, and 2 aunts. Well to make a long story short, his cousin, Bambi, had a son going to Texas Tech, and his cousin Ranay had a daughter going to Texas Tech. Of course all three of of my kids lived in Lubbock and knew both of their cousins. Bambi’s son had a get together, called my kids and invited them over there. When my kids got to the house, they noticed that Ranay’s daughter was there also. My kids thinking well these two knew they were cousins, just went about their business talking to both of them, until they noticed that Bambi’s son was hitting on Ranay’s daughter. One of my kids just had to speak up, “hey dude don’t you know that is your cousin”.
Small world !! Good things my kids went to the party, kissing cousins? Might not have set well with the parents.
If you have any stories of “Wow, It’s a Small World” happenings, share them, who knows we may know the same people. You just never know.
I have several more to tell you in this series of “Wow, It’s a Small World”.

I love this wordpress theme.
I have searched for days for the perfect Wordpress theme. I wanted something that reflected my style.
“I Love Black”, I know some may find that grim or odd, but BLACK is my favorite color in the world, I love to wear it. I love vehicles that are BLACK. I think BLACK is elegant, I think it is sexy, I think it is classy, and for us women it is slimming.
So when I found this wordpress theme entitled Black Hole. I knew it was the one for me. I absolutely love it.

This May Be Confusing, But I Adopted A Blog Post.
We all have those certain people that we admire, that we consider mentors, teachers, people who inspire us to be different, to step outside our comfort zone, to create something different than the usual.
The person I consider to have been my “Mentor” is Dean Hunt from www.deanhunt.com. He is always pushing his readers to be creative. He gets his readers involved, in the most unusual challenges. He has challenged us to submit videos saying we are him. He has given his readers a chance to create a new logo/header image for his blog, and he allowed his readers to vote on the submissions.
The latest challenge to get us involved, was one where we could adopt one of his blogs, but we had to redo it in video form. “Adopt A Blog Post Video Challenge.”
This is where it gets confusing, I am sure. I took all three of these challenges, and I submitted several very short videos saying that “I am Dean Hunt”. (you can see them on my www.youtube.com/teresacaldwell account. I then decided on this latest challenge to adopt the blog post, that I had previously submitted these short videos to. So I became the pretend “Dean Hunts” and adopted that blog post in a video form.
Are You Confused? I am….lol.
This is the final “Adopt A Blog Post Video Challenge”
The Greatest Compliment I could have gotten from the blogger I admire the most is when he commented on my video:
you are officially crazy….
but I love it!
Dean

My Theme Sucks, I Know.
I am so bored with my website. I know I am stuck here with the basic wordpress theme. I know that it needs an update. I have tried changing it once or twice but lost my sidebars, so I went back to the generic wordpress theme until I could research and get it all figured out.
A really good friend of mine sent me some good links and I am going to take a look at them, and see if I can get a new look to my site soon.
If I learn even one new thing a day I will be so much further ahead next year at this time.
Here are the links my friend from 1and1.com sent me (Thanks Jesse@1and1.com):

Who Am I ?
I was at Affiliate Summit and visiting with Mark Weiglus from 45n5.com, he was in charge of the blog room. As we visited the question came up, “What is your Niche”? “What are you interested in”? I was almost embarrased. “I have no idea.” I thought to myself. Everyone in the Affiliate marketing community talk about finding your “Niche”. Oh my God, I have no clue who I am. I have been a wife and a mother for so many years and I have no idea what I am all about. Sure I am all about my kids, and I love my husband, but my kids are grown, my husband has gotten a promotion and is all excited about his work and that is his life now.
My Parents live close, and thank Goodness, I am close as they are getting older and time is something you can never get back. I treasure each precious moment with my Parents.
There are so many women who have blogs about their kids, being a mom, strong women. Yeah, yeah, yeah,….whatever! I am nothing special. Who am I? I am like every other woman in the world who has dedicated their lives to their family. Which is so admirable, don’t get me wrong, I am proud of myself, and I love my family more than life itself.
But Who Am “I” ?
