Have You Ever Searched For Your Home Town on YouTube?

Have you ever searched for your home town on YouTube? You might be surprised what you find.

Okay so my kids have been asking me “Mom what have you been putting on YouTube?”, everyone in town is talking about it. OMG I mean I am trying to stay at home and mind my own business, and I still get talked about in small town America.

I have been involved with affiliate marketing, because it is something I can do from my home, on my computer, and not have to get involved in the small town BS. Okay, so I am helping Affiliate Summit with a new mentor program to help new attendees have a better experience at the Summit. I got up enough courage to actually video myself and talk about this program. Believe me it isn’t easy, I am not a very outgoing person anyway. I had also put a couple of slide shows on YouTube that I had submitted to Affiliate Summit for a contest.

Anyway I guess it was embarrasing to my kids to have their Mom on YouTube. Oh well, I am. So, now what? I started to see what else was out there about this fine small town. These are a few YouTube videos that I found that were about, Shamrock, Texas.

Looks like we have lawn mower races, tornadoes, songs about St. Patrick’s Day “Donagel Beard Contests”, Route 66 and the famous “U-Drop Inn” (featured in the Disney’s Pixar movie Cars, as Ramones Body Shop, and last but not least a video about my Parent’s campground and their long marriage.
